Sharon is our specialist facilitator for courses involving complaints management, investigating skills, data protection and information management.

She has been part of Team AKD since 2009.


Sharon has over 30 years experience in various managerial positions, including complaints and investigations management, project management, service management and training.

These have been served across a useful range of sectors, such as social care, health, education and the judicial system (where her role as a Justice of the Peace has provided an insightful and interesting addition to her life/career experience).

Sharon is particularly skilled in the investigation of difficult high risk complaints. These have covered health and social care, education, grievances and disciplinary matters (as well as high profile cases involving Member/MP and Local Government enquiries).

Her extensive range of career skills have been instrumental in developing best practice for complaints handling in social care at regional and national level.
